Zack Snyder's Justice League (2021) - Goodbye For Real!
★★☆☆☆ |
I'm not really into superhero stuff to be honest. As 'The Amazing Spiderman 2' is my goodbye to superhero films, I haven't checked out one single typical, commercial superhero film ever since. I know there're two gangs of heroes, Marvel and DC, but I don't know who's dealing with who, who or what they're up against, and which belongs to which! Still Zack Snyder's '300' is one of my favorites, and 'Superman' is part of my unforgettable childhood memories, a reminiscence of my dear mother taking me to the big cinema when I was small. So when Zack Snyder decided to cut his version of 'Justice League' featuring also the Superman, though his 'Man of Steel' kind of sucks, I felt like I wanted to give it one last try!
I didn't check out 2017's 'Justice League'. I don't know the difference between this and that but like expected, Snyder's cut is dark, stylish and of decent touches of slo-mo. That's all, sadly! The story's not worth a talk as I don't buy the setup of our heroes and gods having to go up against ugly looking, evil creatures from other dimension or universe like it says, or those from 'Lord Of Rings' like I say. Some of the action sequences are impressive but not all of them. In fact, I started to lose my grip on it just about one hour into the film, which is total 4 hours long if you wonder, but my Superman already dies at the very beginning and only reappears one hour before it ends. Yet he's doing nothing exciting! The ending's a routine where the Evil fail to destroy but will be coming back to try again, and the Justice prevail but will have to fight on hard. Meaning there'll be sequels like 'The Avengers' coming sooner than later I guess! But I'm done with it, period!
As everybody knows, there's no such a thing as superheroes with superpower, but just ordinary people with extraordinary strong will. With that, like Wonder Woman said, you can be whatever you want to be. Anybody can be a hero to somebody, at a right time in a right place with a right motive. A hero is not anything out there. It's right inside of you.
