Match Point - Man! I'm So Jealous

 (2005) ★★★★★

Woody Allen said it's probably the most perfect film he's ever made. I'm not here to judge it, coz I've watched none of his till Match Point, but frankly I love it so much, though I can hardly see how Woody's fits-and-starts life could be so wonderful. Guess that's why he's able to make brilliant films like this. Anyway, no offence!

Is life all about luck? It must be so to Chris, a tennis instructor, who's lucky enough to meet Tom, one of his students, and hook up with his younger sister, Chloe, the heiress from a very rich family. He's even "luckier" to attract Tom's ex, Nola, an American actress at the same time. So here comes the match point: Chris can either pick Chloe (and be a winner) or Nola (and be a loser). If he marries Chloe, what he's been striving for-an easy, comfortable life-will be his to lead. If he, however, chooses nothing-to-lose, too-hot-to-resist Nola, he'll have to start from scratch and be obliged to live hand to mouth. Splitting up with Nola seems like Chris's only choice, but as Nola tells him she's pregnant with his baby, things start to get hideous.

Can Chris think of a way to get rid of Nola without getting himself in trouble? Or will he bite the bullet with her? Your guess is as good as mine!
