Logan (2017) - We Need It Even If It's Not Real.
★★★☆☆ |
I’ve never been a fan of ‘Wolverine’ or ‘X-men’ or stuff, and never
will, thus I’m a bit confused about what’s going on there as well as the bonds
among characters, but still ‘Logan’ is a nice piece of entertaining action
cinema. It’s like a simplified version of ‘Mad Max: Fury Road’, in which
actions are well choreographed, raw and intense, and characterizations are
impressive! Yea, ‘Logan’ can be considered a road film with the purpose of
bringing a classic character to an end, and a film like that can never leave
you an easy feeling. The ending reminds me of the opening of the videogame ‘The
Last Of Us, which is like a tearjerker, almost, though it hasn’t changed how I feel
about X-men, or say, superhero films.
The film’s a tedious violent journey to Eden, a haven for X-men with
human emotions being wiped out while emotionless killing machine-like X-men are
being generated. Eden could be a hoax, a lie, or just an imagination but that’s
what drives them forward no matter what obstacles ahead! Can a man live without
any longing for happiness or anything that he thinks is beautiful? I guess the
answer is obvious! If a man tells you that he’s living like expecting nothing
from anything or anyone, well, he’s either an enlightened being or just a lunatic.
Mostly, I assure you, the latter!
