Michael Jordan To The Max - I Wanna Be Like Mike.

 (2000) ★★★★★

I didn't really like Michael Jordan back then. I was like: damn, what's so fun about basketball with this guy always on top? Why's he always the buzzer beater? Is there anyone who can give him a setback? Ha, I guess I was too young to understand how great he was, and why.

In this short film, he talks about his first 3-peat, first retirement, his father's death, why he turns into a baseball player all of a sudden, why he still wants to come back and play after saying "I've reached the pinnacle of my career. I just feel that I don't have anything else to prove.", and how he makes that beautiful shot before celebrating his second 3-peat.

Below are 2 of MJ's commercials that I think could explain how great he was, and mostly importantly, why.
(MJ commercial-Maybe)
Maybe it's my own fault.
Maybe I led you to believe it was easy when it wasn't.
Maybe I made you think my highlight started at the free throw line,
and not in the gym.
Maybe I made you think that every shot I took was a game winner,
that my game was built on flash, and not fire.
Maybe it's my fault that you didn't see that failure gave me strength,
that my pain was my motivation.
Maybe I led you to believe that basketball was a God-given gift,
and not something I worked for, every single day of my life.
Maybe I destroyed the game.
Or maybe you're just making excuses.

(MJ commercial-Failure)
I've missed more than 9,000 shots in my career.
I've lost almost 300 games.
26 times I've been trusted to take the game-winning shot... and missed.
I've failed over and over and over again in my life.
And that is why I succeed.
