Daybreakers - Their Place In The Sun.
(2009) ★★☆☆☆ |
It's a vampire movie. So what do you think? What do you think vamps need? Of course they need human blood. They need to stay away from the sun or they'd be barbecued. But what if there ain't enough human blood to keep them alive coz humans are dying out? What if the sun is not something they should be afraid of? What if it's the cure they've been searching for? Well, that's what you're gonna find out in Daybreakers, a typical vampire film with an untypical yet silly ending.
It's set in the future where humans are dying out and most of them have turned into vampires. So vampires are short of fresh human blood. They're starving and dying too. They have to find a substitute asap. Scientists (vampires too, that refuse to drink human blood) are working on it, but the chance of success seems dim. So what's gonna happen to them? Don't worry. There's a cure. It's the treated vampire blood. What's a treated vampire? It's in fact a vampire who has turned back into a human. In other words, a treated vampire is a human who used to be a vampire. Got it? Okay, the question is how a vampire can be treated. By what? I guess you'd better find out about that yourself. But I can give you a hint here: 'a place in the sun' is all they need. Sounds rather silly to me though some of you may find it unconventional.
