Toy Story 3 - See Ya!
(2010) ★★★★☆ |
Every story has an end. So does Toy Story. Part 3 is not the best of the series, but it does move me by showing what real friendship and loyalty are supposed to be like. In a world where everything changes rapidly, shall we keep up with the flow, or stay true to ourselves and to others no matter what?
This is a sad story full of laughs. Sounds paradoxical but it's true. The owner of the gang, Andy, is now a 17-year-old ready for his college life. Those funny little characters must, therefore, either go up to the attic, or down to the trash bin. The thing is, Andy is leaving them for sure to college. He's not going to play with them anymore, but y'know toys are born to be played with. So now Woody, Buzz Lightyear and their buddies are all lost in desperation and disappointment. Till they accept that's the way it is, they can't possibly get out of their miseries.
Disney Pictures, nonetheless, won't be so ruthless to make us cry by presenting a hopeless ending. They still have hope and faith in a better world where selfless people really care about one another and everything around them. Toy Story 3's ending is, as a matter of fact, not that happy but hopeful. It marks a new beginning of an end. I believe. I strongly believe that things are going to be fine for Andy and his toys, because they are all real good souls.
