Triple Tap - It's Unreasonable, But Are We?

 (2010) ★★★☆☆

Triple Tap is a kind of shooting technique to make sure your enemy won't survive. When you use it against your enemy, you don't actually want him to surrender. You want him dead instead.

Why, in general, we don't kill each other in order to survive? It's because we have conscience. Why do we have conscience? It's because we're born with it (I believe so. If you don't, my pity on you). Why do we seem to lose it sometimes and do evil stuff? It's because we're blinded by our greed, anger and ignorance. Once we get rid of these three poisons aggravating our life, our true good nature will show. So basically we're all equal. We should respect and love each other instead of loathing and killing each other.

That's why 'Triple Tap' seemed a bit sad to me. It's in a way quite touching though the story itself doesn't really make sense. Among Cantonese films released lately, it could be considered above the average. Of course it's no better than Derek's 'One Nite In Mongkok', but still it'll make you wonder why we always seem to be the slaves of our emotions.
