Up - Don't Give Up On Your Dreams

(2009) ★★★★

Up is a sad story to me, and you know not really for kids, coz they wouldn't be able to understand how luxurious dreams could be as life seems to be so short.

Whether thousands of helium balloons could lift up a heavy house like that, or there's Paradise Falls in South America or not, is blatantly not the main concern here in this Disney's newest adventure involving an old man, a young fatty scout, a lunatic explorer, and lots of stupid mad dogs that can talk, with of course a hi-tech collar on (Ha, Disney is getting smarter and more realistic ever. Bad news for kids though). The message is, in my opinion, it's never too late to chase your dreams-hey! Don't be bringing up such a cliché. Hold your horses, guys, not finished yet-but you have to know that life itself is indeed the biggest adventure of all, as well as a dream.

So would you chase dreams in a dream? Well, I guess everybody needs a dream or two to convince themselves that there is something worth fighting for. Otherwise, why do you think Carl still tries to stick around after his better half passes away?

Kids may find Up a little bit boring and less entertaining than Find Nemo, Monsters, Inc., Toy Story series, etc., but as an animated film made to preach and educate, it's definitely worth your applause, and some of your tears possibly.
