Faster - You Know It Is Not...

Dwayne Johnson is the driver, a man of wrath hunting down those who killed his brother and ruined his life after being released from jail. A retiring junkie cop is after him. A proud killer hired by the cop is after him too. Why'd a retiring cop want to deal with such a case that might probably get him killed? Well, things are not always what they seem, are they?

I'm quite sick of the comedian Dwayne Johnson, so very glad to see him get serious this time around. He's cool. He's got broad shoulders and nice muscles. This film however, sort of wasted his physical talents. Throughout the hunt, he seems to know how to fire a gun only. Physical fights are few. Actions scenes are short and dull. Dialogues are tasteless and sometimes stupid. If an action film fails its actions and the story goes unconvincing, I think there'll be nothing left but disappointment.

Yeah, Dwayne gets serious this time, but he should get more serious about his acting as well. Just angry look and nice muscles are seriously not enough. There could've been more plot twists. The actions could've been more stylish. It could've been a hit to make Dwayne a superstar. It could've been a film noir classic too, but you know, it is not!
