Frozen - Could Be More Real!

 (2010) ★★☆☆☆

This is quite a thrilling game of how to survive when being accidentally trapped in a ski lift hanging in the air with nobody else around to help but wolves down there waiting to devour you. Plus, bad weather's coming. You could freeze to death. Yet you can't simply jump off because it's definitely too far. So what are you going to do? You can, I guess, only count on your luck, under such circumstances.

'Frozen' is about three people, two men and a woman, being stranded in such a helpless situation due to their careless longing for more excitement. A plot like this may lead you to a presumption that the woman is probably the only one that would survive. The thing is, I don't really care who's going to survive. What interests me more is how, while everything around seems to be against them.

It seems to me that this film's 90 minutes too long because the characters talk too much in the middle. I don't think the audience would care what they say at all while busy thinking of possible ways for them to stay alive, or guessing what they're going to do next. I don't think they have such mood to do so either, unless they know for sure they still have a lot of time on their hands. But y'know they just keep confessing to each other without realizing that our patience is actually running out. That we're starting to feel like it's not really happening at all.

It does teach us something though: while in peril, stay calm, don't do anything stupid unless you know exactly what you're doing. And don't take anything in your life for granted. Always be thankful for what you've had. Otherwise you may pretty loathe yourself when you're losing it.
